Ashley grew up in a competition dance studio environment at two highly successful suburban Chicago dance studios. Alongside her studio company competitions, Ashley started to choreograph and compete independently her own pieces at the age of 11. Ashley is now a freshman dance student at Chicago Academy for the Arts, where she trains under the direction of Randy Duncan and Natalie Rast. She recently trained in the Boston Ballet Summer Dance Program and was selected as a contributing choreographer in their 2020 Collective Choreography Project. She was the highest scoring female for Junior Contemporary and a Top 12 finalist for Junior Classical Ballet at the 2021 YAGP Atlanta semi-finals. She was one of youngest members of the pre-professional level of Inaside Chicago Dance’s Youth Training Program for the 2018-2019 season. Ashley has had the opportunity to train with area faculty at summer intensives at the Ruth Page School of Dance, Gus Giordano Dance School, Visceral Dance Chicago, and Inaside Chicago Dance. Ashley has trained in nearly every dance genre and has been training en pointe since age 12. As she has matured as a dancer, she has grown a particular passion for ballet and she is always seeking unique ways to blend classical ballet into more expressive contemporary movements. She is truly inspired by Nick Pupillo’s unique brand of choreography. Ashley is excited to be starting her second year with Visceral Studio Company this year.
