ASHLEY

Ashley grew up in a competition dance studio environment at two highly successful suburban Chicago dance studios. Alongside her studio company competitions, Ashley started to choreograph and compete independently her own pieces at the age of 11. Ashley is now a senior dance student and a member of the Dance Repertory Company at the Chicago Academy for the Arts, where she trains under the direction of Randy Duncan, Patrick Simoniello, and Graca Sales.

She has trained in intensive programs at Arts Umbrella, Orsolina28 Nunes/Flock Creation Program, Kaatsbaan Ballet, NYCDA Winter Contemporary Intensive at The Julliard School (with Ballets Jazz Montreal), Alonzo King Lines Ballet, Boston Ballet, Ballet West, ABT, Complexions, and the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (CPYB). Ashley was a Top 3 finalist and received the highest score of age 16+ in the Senior Contemporary category at the 2023 YAGP semi-finals and was the highest scoring female in the Junior Contemporary category and a Top 12 finalist in the Junior Classical Ballet category at the 2021 YAGP semi-finals. Ashley has trained in nearly every dance genre and has been training en pointe since age 12. As she has matured as a dancer, she has grown a particular passion for contemporary ballet and she is always seeking unique ways to blend classical ballet into more expressive contemporary movements. She is truly inspired by Nick Pupillo’s unique brand of choreography. Ashley is excited to be starting her fifth year with the Visceral Studio Company this year.
