Eddieomar Gonzalez-Castillo is from West Palm Beach Florida, and began his formal training at Dreyfoos School of the Arts. In 2015 he was a finalist at Young arts and a semi-finalist for presidential scholar. Later that year he began his studies in modern performance at SUNY Purchase College, and did a semester studying classical Ballet at the Western Australian Academy of performing arts. At SUNY Purchase Eddieomar rehearsed and performed works by renowned choreographers such as Jose Limon, Shannon Gillen, Tom Weinberger, Stuart Loungeway, Jerome Robbins, Ana Maria Lucaciu, and Kimberly Bartosik. In 2018 he was selected to attend the Springboard Danse intensive in Montreal and was fortunate enough to perform Solo Echo by Crystal Pite.
Eddieomar has also assisted VIM VIGOR dance company in their workshop at international festival B12 in Berlin Germany, and assisted choreographer Christopher Huggins at STAGE International Festival DARC in Chateroux, France. He's also performed with Nicole Caruana's Company UANA DANSE at international festivals such as international competition for choreographers in Hannover Germany, Copenhagen international choreography competition in Copenhagen Denmark and Dance Days in Chania Greece.
Most recently, he performed with Ballet Florida and participated in a residency for NYS Dane force with under the direction of Nicole Caruana.
