Francesca is returning to Visceral for her senior year, representing her 5th year on Studio Company and 7th year of training at Visceral Dance Center. Through Visceral she continues her training with some of the most exceptional and gifted instructors from the City of Chicago and around the world. Francesca has also had the opportunity to train and perform this past summer on scholarship in the pre-professional division of BalletMet, including being a chosen soloist in its Contemporary Repertoire. In addition, Francesca has trained in contemporary, modern, ballet, and pointe for full summers at Juilliard, American Ballet Theatre, Milwaukee Ballet and the pre-professional division of Arts Umbrella in Vancouver, BC. This year, Francesca was a 2019 scholarship recipient from the National Young Arts Foundation for Contemporary/Modern Dance and has received several other scholarships and awards in both ballet and contemporary dance. She received film credit as a ballerina in the 2016 Indie film Margaret and the Moon. Francesca has been personally selected to perform choreography by Hanna Brictson, Paige Fraser, Ahmad Simmons, Chris Xayarath, and Karl Watson. She has additionally trained in ballet and pointe locally with Laura Wade, Watmora Casey, Vilma Machin, Guillermo Leyva, Sherry Morray, and Irina Starovoitova. Francesca feels honored and privileged to again be accepted to dance under the direction of Nick Pupillo, Laura Wade, and the amazing staff at Visceral Dance Center. She is looking forward to working hard and performing some of the most astounding choreography in the Chicagoland area, and is grateful to Nick for this remarkable opportunity.
