Originally from Brazil, Laura just graduated from Joffrey Ballet School on a merit scholarship. She worked with choreographers such as Greg Lau, Yoshito Sakuraba, Antonia Franceschi, and Yin Yue. She was a company member and Rehearsal Assistant with Joffrey Ballet Concert Group for two seasons. Laura spent the summers with Nederlands Dance Theater , Orsolina28, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, A.I.M by Kyle Abraham, and GALLIM. Laura performed works by Crystal Pite, Jiri Kyliam, and Hofesh Shelter; and was invited to perform with the cast of “Hamilton” at the Playbill Broadway Pride event by Thayne Jasperson.

 

In commercial work Laura was part of Amazon Prime’s unveiling video with Maleek Washington, the main dancer in Vogue’s fall editorial 2021, Pantene curly campaign, and SohoHouse New York Fashion Week. She also had her choreographic debut at ArtBath NYC in collaboration with Bradley Shelver, whom she also assisted for his new work at Graham II.
