Tess began as a gymnast at the age of 6.  A year later she was invited to the USAG competitive team where she competed at a high level until the age of 11, but realized gymnastics was not her passion.  Tess transitioned to the dance program at her gymnastics studio and was invited to the competitive dance team the following year.  She enjoyed dancing in all styles including ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, tap and musical theater.  In her second year of competitive dance, Tess participated in a workshop at Visceral, which led to another workshop and then the summer intensive.  Nick Pupillo’s contemporary choreography instantly spoke to Tess and she is truly honored and grateful for the opportunity to continue to explore this unique style of dance.  She is looking forward to expanding her passion for dance under the guidance of Nick and the other talented instructors in her first year with Visceral Studio Company.
