A FINE LINE
Internationally acclaimed choreographer, Kevin O’Day joins us from Mannheim, Germany to create a new commission, The Fine Line, based on strength and vulnerability and the fine line in between

RETURNING WORKS:

IMPETERE  (2013)

Artistic Director Nick Pupillo's first work for his company is rich with fiery power. Showcasing the eleven athletic, technical dancers, Impetere captivates from beginning to end. With "a stroke of choreographic genius" (Chicago Tribune), Impetere features "complex, tumbling changes...in this portrait of perpetual motion." (Chicago Tribune) Pulsing with energy from the dancers, music, and lighting, Impetere is a signature of Visceral Dance Chicago.

SENZA DI TE  (2013)

A lush pas de deux choreographed by Nick Pupillo, Senza di te is a seamless piece of longing and love. Almost never losing contact with one another, the man and woman transform through endless partnering feats. The sounds of hearvelt strings guide them throughout the duet. From beginning to end, Pupillo's choreography demands not only technical precision, but also true passion.

CHANGES  (2014)

Mónica Cervantes (Spain) work Changes navigates our modern world, both the harsh and the poignant. Opening in silence, the piece quickly launches into an aggressive urban crowd. Revealing individuals throughout, the brash full- bodied ensemble movement dissipates into two duets. Cervantes explores how different relationships begin, develop and end in our fast-paced world.
