Alessandra is originally from Mendham, NJ. She began her formal training locally at Ballet Forte and at New Jersey Dance Theater Ensemble. She continued her education at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts high school program and went on to earn a BFA in ballet at the University of Utah, graduating in 2019. While at the University of Utah, she worked with choreographers such as Penny Saunders, Pablo Piantino, Lesley Telford, MatheewNeenan, and Gabrielle Lamb. After graduating, she relocated to Chicago to join the Hubbard Street Professional Training Program under the direction of Alexandra Wells. Additionally, she has spent summers at Orsolina 28 in Moncalvo, Italy with FLOCK, Juliano Nunes and Gaga lab. Alessandra joined Zeitgeist Dance Theater directed by Francisco Gella and Yusha Sorzano, and later worked with Zikr Dance Theater under the direction of David Taylor. In 2022, she joined Visceral Dance Chicago as an apprentice and was promoted to company member in the 2023 season. While at Visceral, Alessandra has performed works by Danielle Agami, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Marco Palomino, Mark Godden, Abdiel Figueroa Reyes, Tess Renaud, and Nick Pupillo. In addition to performing, she is a certified Pilates instructor who is passionate about helping others prevent injury through body awareness. In her practice, she brings her deep understanding of movement and anatomy to both dancers and non-dancers. Alessandra is excited for another great season with Visceral Dance!​
