RAMIYAH

Ramiyah started dancing at age 3, participating in various summer ballet intensives in a Chicago suburb. Ramiyah has always had a passion and appreciation for dance and performance. After dancing in musical theater performances, she realized she wanted to dance for a long time. Ramiyah started training with Forward Momentum Chicago (FMC) under the direction of Pierre Lockett. FMC offered various styles of dance training including, modern, ballet, hip-hop, Latin and African. She found that she especially enjoys modern and hip-hop. After four years with FMC, Ramiyah found Visceral Dance and decided to take contemporary classes at Visceral. Three years later, Ramiyah is thrilled to be a part of Visceral Studio Company. She is appreciative of her teachers who advocated for her and encouraged her to challenge herself. She can’t wait to grow and dedicate herself to dance during her last year at Visceral.  This will be her first year with Visceral Studio Company.
