Kaliana is a Filipino American artist who discovered her passion for the arts and movement at a young age. In 2023, she received her BFA in Dance from the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase, as well as a minor in Arts Management. At Purchase, she had the opportunity to perform works by Peter Chu, Jenn Freeman, MICHIYAYA Dance, Bill T. Jones, and Amy Miller. Additionally, she earned a minor in Contemplative Studies and a certification in Pilates, supporting her fascination of interdisciplinary practices within the dance field.

 

She has furthered her training at workshops including SpringboardX, BODYTRAFFIC, Ate9 Dance, chuthis. Movement Intensive, and New Dialect. Kaliana is excited to be joining Visceral Dance Chicago to expand her artistic boundaries and be immersed in a stimulating, inclusive community of dancers.
