ARTIST BIO

Domè Lorusso can currently be found in his home town of Chicago teaching his Jazz Funk dance classes at Visceral Dance Center.  He most recently worked with Famous Footwear on their Christmas commercial campaign and has previously danced on stages and in music videos for artist such as Cyndi Lauper, Black Eyed Peas, Fall Out Boy, and DLow.

 

Domé was not formally trained growing up. Instead, he was persuaded by a friend in his early twenties to take a Hip Hop dance class at Lou Conte. Which in turn, resulted in Domé going on to be mentored by the Instructor Adrian Dela Cruz. Adrian introduced Domé to One World Dance Theater, under the direction of Rebecca Huntsman, where he started his professional dance career and trained in Jazz, Contemporary, Latin, and Hip Hop. He also got to work and study under choreographers such as Chicago's Gloria Araya and Alvin Ailey's Lisa Willingham.

 

Domé took part in Chicago dance crews like Dance2XS Chicago and Vicious, and has also judged local dance competitions like World Of Dance and Prelude. Not to mention made appearances on Oprah and The Steve Harvey Show. However, one of his favorite opportunities was working with America's Next Top Model winner, Jaslene Gonzalez, on her fashion model workshop, "On Set With Jaslene", as a movement coach.

 

Although Domé is still open to doing commercial work, He's putting more of his focus into teaching his classes and expanding his career in other directions.  He's not fully ready to hang up his dancing shoes yet whike still having so much to offer. So, until the next Shwerk!
