IMANI

Imani Troutman has been dancing since the age of five, beginning her training at Mayfair Dance Academy in ballet, jazz, contemporary, African, and tap. She went on to train at the Chicago Multicultural Dance Center, where she expanded her repertoire to include classical ballet, contemporary, modern, African, hip hop, and acrobatics, performed with the Hiplet Ballerinas, and competed at Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP). She has also attended intensives with the Milwaukee Ballet and Nashville Ballet.

 

At thirteen, Imani joined the Chicago School of Ballet, performing in The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty and competing at the Universal Ballet Competition. The following year, she became a member of Visceral Dance Studio’s Inside Out Crew, competing at World of Dance Los Angeles while continuing her ballet training at Visceral Dance Center. Her renewed passion for ballet led her to successfully audition for the Visceral Studio Company.

In her second year, Imani is deeply committed to her growth as an artist and is honored to continue her training and performance journey with Visceral Studio Company.
