LILY

Lily began her dance training at Visceral in early elementary school, and soon auditioned for the Visceral Youth Ensemble under the direction of Cecilia Ferguson-Bell. For several years thereafter Lily trained and performed in a variety of styles under the guidance of VYE’s current director, Kaytee Cox, as well as Nick Pupillo, Kelly Crain, and Jessie Novak. Through VYE Lily earned many top individual and group awards and discovered a passion for contemporary dance. During her 7th grade year, Lily also began training with and representing VSC, performing in a small group choreographed by Nick Pupillo that will likely always be one of her favorite pieces, and was officially admitted to VSC last season as an 8th grader.

 

With her teachers’ support and encouragement Lily has grown steadily in skill and technique, auditioned successfully for and participated in summer intensives, including with Chicago’s Joffrey Academy and the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and is grateful for the opportunity to continue to grow in artistry alongside the talented and dedicated dancers and instructors that make up the VSC community in this, her second official season with the company. She is especially thankful to Kaytee Cox for her years of excellent training and personal support, and to Nick Pupillo for believing in her and seeing a place for her as part of his artistic vision.
