MARYMELLANY
Filipino-American Marymellany discovered her passion for dance at age 4. She began her training at the Algonquin-based dance studio under Kim Brancamp. Her love for dance has inspired her to express herself through movement, beginning her competitive career at age 5. She had her very first solo in a national competition at age 6, achieving high awards, and has been competing and winning ever since. Along with being a theatre actress and vocalist, Marymellany performs a wide variety of styles and genres such as ballet, lyrical, hip hop, jazz, tap, modern and contemporary. She also performs and competes alongside Visceral Youth Ensemble under Kaytee Cox. Marymellany has been training all over the country and has had the privilege to attend intensive programs both in Tokyo, Japan and Manila, Philippines. This year, she was given a huge opportunity to train under the direction of Nick Pupillo. For Marymellany, dance is a universal language. One that she continues to hone as she joins in her first year with Visceral Studio Company.
