CLASS DESCRIPTION
Dance your way through the Musical Theater Songbook, from golden age to contemporary. Whether your goal is to recreationally hone your skills or to book professional shows, this class will take you on a deep dive into character development through motivation of movement while working the technique learned in jazz and ballet dance. This class incorporates 45 minutes of a solid warm up fused with exercises in technique, followed by 45 minutes of a new weekly combination to fire up your sequence retention abilities and increase your stamina. This class is taught starting at an intermediate level, but all are welcome and encouraged to attend. Taught by Chicago-based Director, Choreographer, and Actress Megan E. Farley, you'll be sure to dance out of the studio and onto the stage with these hum-worthy routines.

ARTIST BIO
Megan E. Farley is a theater director/choreographer currently serving as Associate Director for SIX on Broadway. Megan has an extensive career in the Chicago and Regional theater circuits. Her choreography credits include: Big Fish (Joseph Jefferson Award Nomination - BoHo Theatre Ensemble), Legally Blonde (Paramount Theatre), Disaster! The Musical (Chicago Theatre Workshop), Shrek (co-directed by Sutton Foster; Ball State University), All Shook Up, How to Succeed..., and The Wizard of Oz (The Little Theatre on the Square). Megan has served as Associate Director/Associate Choreographer for numerous productions including The Wizard of Oz, Elf, Disney's The Little Mermaid, Hairspray (Paramount), Peter Pan (Chicago Shakespeare Theater) and Numbers Nerds (New York Musical Festival). Performance credits include: Paramount Theatre, Drury Lane-Oakbrook, LTOTS, Holland America Line, Cedar Fair Amusement Parks. Megan earned a BFA in Musical Theatre from Ball State University.
