ARTIST BIO

​

Megan Pavelka, originally from Omaha, Nebraska, began her dance journey training at local studios and assisting the director of SynergyTech Jazz Company. She pursued her passion for dance at Columbia College Chicago, where she graduated with honors, earning a BFA in Dance Pedagogy. 

 

After graduation, Megan joined Giordano Dance Chicago as a GII, where she learned and performed pieces by renowned choreographers including Ray Leeper, Mia Michaels, Liz Imperio, and Ray Mercer. While in Chicago, she taught at The Joffrey Ballet Youth Program, The Beverly Arts Center, North Shore School of Dance, and trained at Visceral Dance Center.

 

Megan then moved to Los Angeles, where she expanded her professional career, working for artists such as GALANTIS, Solange Knowles, Galen Hooks, C&L Collective, and Gerard & Kelly. While in LA, she also served as an instructor and choreographer for several youth dance companies.

 

Now back in Chicago, Megan continues to share her love for dance as a teacher with the Visceral Youth Program and All About Dance Chicago, dedicating herself to inspiring the next generation of dancers.
