MEGHAN

An ambitious and dedicated artist, Meghan has been honing her craft since the age of 2. She began her training under the direction of Beth Lottino & Katie Shaw at Beth’s Dance Academy (BDA) where she trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, tap, and acrobatics. While at BDA, Meghan enjoyed assisting Acro Director Susan Malloy in the training of the future generation of artistic acrobats. For 7 years, Meghan was a member of BDA’s Competition Dance team where she earned numerous regional and national awards and earned multiple convention scholarships. Her passion of dance lead her to relocate to Chicago to pursue her training at The Chicago High School for the Arts (ChiArts®) where she trains in ballet, modern (Horton & Graham), tap, West African dance, and Contemporary jazz. Supplemental training includes multiple Francisco Gella Danceworks intensives; and her summers have been spent at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Perry Mansfield Performing Arts Camp.

Last year, Meghan was reacquainted with one of her childhood mentors, Sarah Morimoto, who set several pieces for her while at BDA. She encouraged Meghan to take drop-in classes at Visceral Dance Center. After taking her first class, Meghan felt inspired and immediately knew Visceral was where she wanted to continue her training.

Meghan is grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow alongside her Visceral Studio Company (VSC) teammates under the direction of Nick Pupillo in her first year on VSC.
