DESCRIPTION
Visceral Dance is seeking passionate advocates, leaders, and community members to join our Board of Directors.
As one of Chicago's leading contemporary dance organizations, Visceral creates transformative artistic experiences that connect audiences, support artists, and expand access to movement through performances, education, and community engagement.
Board members serve as ambassadors, advisors, and champions for Visceral's mission while helping strengthen our impact throughout Chicago and beyond.
We welcome individuals with diverse professional backgrounds who share our commitment to artistic excellence, equity, and building a vibrant future for the dance community.
Together, we can continue creating opportunities for artists, students, and communities to connect through movement.
EXPECTATIONS
Annual Support:
“Give/Get” - $1,000

To be collected within current fiscal year (July through June)

Funds can be given directly or solicited
Gala Fundraising Event – minimum 4 tickets (or donation in the equivalent amount) either purchased or solicited by board member
Purchase tickets for all Chicagoland Performances - minimum 4 tickets
Contribute to the Board of Directors' underwriting of a Solus dancer-choreographer pair
Additional Participation:
Attend all Board Meetings

Participate on a minimum of one (1) committee

Professional Networking Events – attendance as able

Commit to introducing Visceral Dance Chicago to 5 new contacts with the intent of soliciting for donating funds/services, serving on committee(s), or attendance of performances/events
